[TheForge] Glass question

A teen whose family I'm acquainted with recently had an extremely grisly 
accident when he sat on a glass-topped coffee table. That was enough to 
make me heed Dave's advice about going thicker than is probably 
neccesary- I wonder how difficult it is to get tabletop glass in a 
tempered material? Probably next to impossible, since it would have to 
be tempered after all the cutting and beveling was done...
