Yes, the mule and donkey both get garlic.  We used to have a horse, also and 
he got it too.  I am not in charge of feed around here, so I really don't 
know how much each one gets.  My wife feeds everyone here.  Dog, Cat, 
Chickens, Ducks, equines, and all.
