Thanks to those who offered suggestions on how to handle long stock.  The
idea of in- and-out feed supports for the power hammer, forge and anvil make
sense.  I like the idea of positioning the anvil in-line to facilitate
straightening and Mike's idea for a rotating stock support is innovative,
but I thing getting a long piece into the chain loop might be a hasstle.

One area I am still puzzling over is heating the stock.  Without a conveyor
table set up, I think getting stock in and out of a gas forge would be real
hard on the forge.  But perhaps this is the way to go--put every thing in
line:  forge, power hammer, anvil and hossfeld.  Then put some guides in and
out of the forge to keep the stock away from the refractory.  Right now, I
would probably use the coal forge because it is open.
