The AFC does have life memberships but thay are awards for meritorius service, 
and thus are free. To my knowledge in the 22 years of the AFC there have been 
only 4 or 5 life memberships awarded. 

I know the NRA offers life memberships for $750, whereas an annual membership is 
$35. They do have a flex pay option that allows for quarterly payment of $25 
until the life membership cost is paid off.
