Andy,
You do have some nice pens! I don't own anything that fancy. The one I use every day is a 1982 Sheaffer Slim Targa. But, I also have 20 or 25 others dating from c. 1900 through the 1940s in various stages of repair. I've heard lots of nice things about Pelicans, but I've never owned one. Over the past century, I think Sheaffer has made some of the nicest nibs of any major American or European company.
Aubrey

It's amazing what fountain pens go for these days. Michel Perchins and
Montegrappas for $30K. I still have my old Pelikan 110s that I paid $10
for in 1980. Some of the best writing pens ever made.
About a dozen years ago I decided to get stupid and buy a Pelikan
Toledo, the big one. $700. I see them selling used for over $2000
these days.
Me dear daughter got me a Namiki for xmas two years ago. Great pen,
but at $170 it's not cheap by any means. Write beautifully, though the
ink system isn't as good as Pelikan. Then again, nobody makes ink
delivery as good as they do.
