[TheForge] Shop Lighting

I am a believer in a mix of types of light-
we use low bay halide lights up on the ceiling- I have 2 in the main
shop, which is about 2000 sq ft- got em at grainger, they cost a couple
of hundred dollars each, and are 220, but the bulbs last years and
years.
Then I have a bunch of 8 foot flourescents with medium price, not full
spectrum bulbs.
Then, in work areas, I have built big "desk lamps"- I copied the spring
loaded design of a drafting lamp, only about 4 feet long each section.
These are adjustable for height, swivel, and are easy to point right
where you are working. On these, I put those cheap 500 watt quartz
lights from home depot. I have about 6 of these in the shop, over main
work areas, the cutoff saw, and the hossfeld bender.
