Terry,
Well worth passing along. I spend nearly half of my time out of the country
on business, mainly Japan, and use Skype daily. I like the fact I can talk
for free to others who are also set up with Skype but it's a pain
coordinating the calls (both of you have to be online for the free call).
For a small extra charge, you can have the calls forwarded to your cellphone
(or land phone) and never miss a call. Free if you're at your computer,
cheap if you aren't. Always free for the caller. Another option is called
Skypeout which allows you to call regular phone directly from Skype. Anyway,
the whole system is work checking out. The quality is consistently exellent.

hello;
just thought i would pass this on. i need to contact hawkmoor.com, in
exeter, devon, uk by telephone. well landline telephone was more than i
was prepared to pay. i found http://www.skype.com, which not only allows
free voice calls between skype users, but also for 0.021 us cents per
minute calls to landline telephones in the uk. so my telephone call to
the uk was only 0.32 us cents. the sound quality of the call was
excellent.
i was able to contact hawkmoor.com about their field kitchens.
btw, skype runs on windows, linux, and macos-x.
