[TheForge] Need Coal

Kind of a similar situation, some of us here in South
Carolina went together and had a truck load of coal
delivered to us a couple of years ago. We only had 6
people who were willing to buy a ton or more, so we
only got 10 tons total. The company that delivered it
to us, Monger Coal and Oil, had a 20 ton truck, so we
would have been better off if we could have found
enough folks to fill the truck (the transportation
would have been the same). Here is Monger's contact
info if you want to go that route:
Monger Coal & Oil, Inc., PO Box 66, 600 Mt. Hermon
Road, Elkton, VA 22827, 1-800-700-6133, (540)
298-1256, website: http://www.mcoinc.biz/. They sell
stoker ("pea") coal from the Pocahontas seam.
BTW, to make it fair to everyone that they got what
they paid for, as everyone was picking up their coal,
they had to measure it out in 5 gallon pails. We
weighed a few pails and they averaged out to 33
pounds, so three pails was 100 pounds. When you're
getting a ton or a ton and a half, this is kind of a
PIA, but it was the only really fair way we could come
up with.
