Yeah, it's not making 12-16-yr olds work that's the problem.  It's making them work instead of getting an education that's the problem. 

 When I was a teenager in suburban So. CA, I wished I could get a job.  It was nearly impossible then.  The system worked against it.  I was bored silly.  Would have loved a job in the summer.
