Well, I took my salary, figured with and without bonus
and 401k match, then added some for the "promotion"
and multiplied by a correction (80% to 90%) for the
salary disparity between NJ and MO, and came up with a
figure.

Their offere wasn't even close.  Left me no room to
negotiate for what I wanted.  

Problem is, a HOUSE is cheaper in MO, but moving would
actually cost me a lot, considering the move, renting
an apt. for a while, selling the old house, etc.  

And my NJ house is paid off.  I'm in there for taxes
and utilities.  Hell, my bonus this year mostly
covered THAT!  No bonuses at the MO emplyer...

I actually considered accepting for an hour or two. 
Discussed it with friends and family and concluded ...
NO WAY!
