[TheForge] Forging Bronze

I have a related question regarding bronze. I have an upcoming project to
make fireplace doors out of bronze. I would like to fasten the back screen
frames to the door frames without fasteners like rivet heads showing on the
front surfaces. Is it possible to fasten threaded studs to the bronze by
welding? Something like 1/4"-20 or #10. The stud material is not
important--could be steel, bronze or brass, whatever will adhere nicely.

I have the equipment to TIG, Mig and torch weld. What would you recommend?

Hi David,
I've always used mig or tig. You can get spools of silicon bronze
wire, and silicon bronze tig rod. Gives a better color match, when
it's time for the patina. FWIW.
