Don,
There could many things wrong, I did ethernet design
for years and worked on some of the early wireless
equipment.
The best thing is to get your own service. I know it's
expensive, I live in BFE, we have two fly by nights
that do all sorts of goofy things. None of them seem
to have a real handle on the technology. I asked their
Guru and the installer, how is this grounded? They
told me that it is internally grounded. I ask them to
explain to me how this is done. They didn't say a
word. I told to get a copy of the state code, before
there is a fire from their equipment. I had an RF
problem, they said it couldn't be happening the way I
explained it. So I said bring your spectrum analyzer
out we can see what is happening, they didn't know
what a spectrum analyzer was.
If your only 150 feet away, why not run some CAT 5/6,
put the plugs on it and you will be set.
