[TheForge] Any recommendations on cutoff saws? Brands, etc?

I, too, have a Rigid from Home Despot. In my home shop it has held up well for several years. With a little patience it will cut through 1-1/4" square 4140 and 7/8" sucker rod. But I don't use it every day.

So far the Rigid I picked up at Home Despot has lasted longer than the
roybi? (spelling, didn't last long enough to remember) Use good wheels, if
they stop cutting they are glazed, break the glaze (Brick, stone, washers
on bolt loose enough to spin, etc) then start again
