[TheForge] Any recommendations on cutoff saws? Brands, etc?

I bought HF 12" sliding miter saw, I like it, don't think one needs the 
lazer guide, its PIA takes battery, have to turn on and off.

I've decided to add a cutoff saw to my collection, and I am seeking advice:

any brands better/worse than the others?
is the Harbor Freight stuff too junky, or a reasonable alternative?

I know some of you guys are opinionated, so what do you say?
