                                  Hi Mike,

          Good question.  First thing I did was open the box to make sure
   the drive wheel was turning.  Second thing I did was dis-assemble the
                       gun and looked for wire melt.

     I know this suggestion is really obvious, but are you sure that the
     wire
     isn't burned to the tip of the orifice in the handle?
