When purchasing a new pair of shoes, I found a pair but not the fit. The
person assisting me pulled out a pair of wrought iron tongs specifically for
adjust shoes and softening the leather. It had a round ring on one end and a
ball on the other. I didn't have a chance to measure these but it looked
like
an interesting, useful project.
Has anyone seen these or have some dimensions that would work? I have a
rought idea but curious if anyone has worked on something like this.
Thanks!

john,
They had a picture of these in a recent mag. "Farm and Ranch" or
"Reminice", where they have a what-is-it page. Several people wrote in and
said that they were designed to spot stretch shoes for bunions and corns.
I'll look around to see if it is still here.
