       My anvil turned out to be a wilkinson.It easily has as much rebound 
as my pw but the ring seems to be gone south.There are no thunks or burps 
just an eerie quiet.I can see this as a qood thing as long as this is just a 
quirk and not a structural problem.I have been told that some anvils do not 
have a ring but are still excellent tools.Any one have a wilkinson minus the 
rinq?All input would be apprietiated as i was planning on making this my new
