In general, anything that will insulate it. The longer you can  
prolong the cooling.....the more annealed the material.  
Ferrous.......only of course. It's my belief that the finer the  
particle.......the more it insulates. I've done a lot of thin sheet  
for acanthus leaves with the lime technique. fwiw.
