I was given a bag of AP green castable refractory. I am trying to figure out
the rating of the stuff I have, but it does not say it on the bag. Mike said
I should not waste my time on anything less then 3k for a foundry. The only
thing I can find is Silca cement and a code that says 69E. I know that is
not much, but can anyone tell me what I have?
Thanks
Martin

A.P.Green have always been special order products in my neighborhood. I
patronize the E.J. Bartells outlet in Anchorage. http://www.ejbartells.com/
I just checked out their product list and had to skim severely! There are a
BUNCH and a search for phosphate refractories returned 76 hits though I
couldn't tell quite which were which. That is of course what the guy behind
the desk is for. <grin>
They have a distributor locator on the site.
