As a side note to this article the Williamsburg smiths, et  al,  have also 
recently produced a bloom with a similar, locally  produced forge. They are 
about ready to have another go at it and have a clay  furnace about two feet high 
drying in the front yard of the Anderson Forge.  According to Ken Schwarz, now 
the Master of the Shop, they are getting 30-40  pounds of iron from the bog 
ore they use. On the next heat they will be trying  to work with some more 
refined ore and hope for a higher yield.
