Well, we're thinking along the same lines, but I still think the saddle is
too complicated- when I got there, I could only find the saddle picture.
What I'm thinking is a set up that would fit easily into a simple canvas
bag. I've noticed that when I'm loading and unloading for an event, I tend
to have several, long, thin bundles anyway- chairs, tents, tarps, etc, and
having one more the throw into the pile wouldn't be a problem. Suspect the
same is true for most SCAdians who camp.
I'm also working on a cooking set up that keeps the fire completely off the
ground, but still looks period, for a friend who recently got her cooking
Laurel. Probably ought to draw that up so we can discuss it too.
And, Johan came up with a really neat, light cooking tripod that I think
might be good for our people over here who hafta get to events on public
transport. I swiped it from him when the people who asked him to make it at
Pennsic didn't come back, with intentions of marketing it for him. Need to
finish setting it up, and get it out at events.
