[TheForge] Old World Anvils?????

John,
I use a couple of flat pick up magnets from Harbor Freight and stick them
under each horn low. This seems to dampen the ring for me. Plus I can move
them around out of the way if necessary.

I own that anvil.  I like it, had to take a hand grinder to it to clean the
sides of the face up.  I wish I had a heavier anvil though.  Ive been
working on it for two years now and anything over 4 pounds creates a loud
ringing sound, and with an 8 pound sledge it bounces a little.  Great anvil
though, I would get the largest one you can afford though.  Good anvil for
the price!
