Raw wood polished doesn't seem to cause blisters.

I heard one time that a person should put wax on the handle so that there
would be good grip between the skin and the wood.  It took me about 20
minutes and I retrieved the wife's fingernail polish remover.  Too much grip
caused the skin to move sideways on the hand and muscle.

Yes, I think I like the rectangular handle, but will try it a bit more
before doing it on the other hammers.  Once altered, the handle doesn't grow
back<G>.
