Roger, I had this same problem a couple years ago...the bit broke off in apiece of 1 1/2" sq. I enlarged the hole to the broken bit and drilled in from the back so as to insert a pin punch, to which I applied the hammer. If it does not come out cold, heat the piece and whack it again. Ron
