There are a few blacksmiths up that way.
Loren just started a group in Vancouver proper, there is an active
group on Vancouver Island, and there is Renato Muskovic in Surrey- a
blacksmith, metalshaper, and jack of all trades.
All a bit down the road from Kamloops, but I bet there are a few closer
by.
I have a good buddy who is building a house in Stump Lake, up that way,
and he owns more guns than just about any damn yankee's I know- he
doesnt seem to have any problems with the canadian government on that
one. He shoots a deer every year, and makes his own gourmet sausage
from it, as well as the best venison steaks I have ever tasted. Former
University professor, which is about par for rural BC- not rednecks,
but cultured intellectuals who also can hunt, skin, and build.
