   I  bought  an  Old  World  Anvils  "Austrian" anvil last year from Dan
   Morris;  Old World Anvils is now owned by Bob Bergman.  Bob also makes
   the KA75 hammer.  I like the anvil just fine; "soft-faced" is probably
   a relative thing; I don't want too hard of a face, and if (when? ;-) I
   miss the work the little dent reminds me about hammer control.  I have
   heard  only  good  things  about  Euroanvils;  just serendipity that I
   bought from Dan.  The prices are very comparable.

   Just  out of curiousity I googled "Carroll Anvils" yesterday and got a
   few  other  hits for places to buy one than Centaur; Centaur is asking
   $270 for  the  70#  wide  face;  Ken-Davis was asking $267 and another
   place was asking $317.

   I  also  want  to say I enjoy lurking on this list; interesting posts,
   enjoyable  conversations  and  stories,  generally  respectful of each
   other's opinions.  Thank you all.
