I buy my refractory from Harbison-Walker in PA or Roanoke, VA. It's not
"personal" but I do the business over the phone and they're a good
buncha folks. They're not real knowledgeable about blacksmithing per se
but they certainly know refractory and if you know roughly what you
want they'll get it for you. Don Atwell is the guy to talk
to--704.599.6540. He seems like the Old Guy Who Knows Everything around
there.
