I would second the recommendation on the "Mokume Gane a Comprehensive 
Study" book but I am a little biased as I wrote the chapter on 
electric kiln diffusion bonding for it.  Another good book is Mokume 
Gane by Ian Ferguson ISBN 0-7136-6156-9  There is also a paper I 
wrote a few years ago

some use.

As for materials check out Reactive Metals 
(http://www.reactivemetals.com) for Shakudo and Shibuichi  otherwise 
any metal supply or precious metal supply house for the other 
materials.
