For a book Try Mokume Gane A Comprehensive Study by Steve Midgett
ISBN 0-965-7-8 Published in 2000.
For a supplier good luck, if you want to be a purest, then you
will be collecting the materials, if you just want to make Mokume for
yourself as a hobby thing, go see a precious metals wholesaler and a
sheet/ribbon metal distributor.
This is not a pound it type of process, even thou I have done it
in the past, it a cook it until it glows or welds type of process.
I have a small pile of metal collecting to make some Mokume, which
I do twice a year, when my wrist is not killing me.
