As I remember, the Kansas City Renn Faire made them use LP gas 5 or so
years ago. The Faire blacksmiths had set up a conventional looking forge
with "faux charcoal" forge heated by gas. Some members of BAM can probably
give more details. They did the same thing to the glass blowers, etc.
L.P. Gas was considered "safe", with out risk of air quality.
