protected you from the mud and snow when a horse "dashed" off.

Hello to everyone...*waves*...student blacksmith here. Got suckered into learning how to forge by an old blacksmith friend of the family after he taught me how to trim horses. It's embarassing how addictive it can get, beating on hot metal.
