[TheForge] preserving heat colors

Years ago I had a .44 Mag pistol with a flame patina; temper colors. I had
it for years, wore it in all kinds of weather, oiled it and generally
treated it like a pistol in daily use should be treated.

The patina remained unchanged for the ten plus years I carried it. They
seemed to know how to preserve a heat patina.

If it ain't forged
it ain't real.
Wrought iron is.
