Subject: [TheForge] Off Topic lead vessel
I found a strange lead decorative vessel in a trash pile and I can't find
any information anywhere on it. Its about 18" high and 9" wide with the top
3" being a vertical pipe centered on the body. At first I thought it was
part of a muffler, but its a sort of pleasing art vase without anysort of
makers emblem. The top pipe or stem is of 1/16 sheet and the body seems
heavier but I can't tell. The bottom has about a 3/8 hole in the center, so
it wouldn't hold water, and it sits on four 1/2" or so legsLooks to me like
something that might sit in an old bank lobby with dried flowers or
something in it. I've searched google and e-bay but can't find any
reference to anything like this. So anybody have any ideas of where to look
for information to help me market this beauty or should I just cut it up for
soft vise jaws. I promise not to use it for tooth picks or a home made St.
Christopher Medal.
Thanks for any help, Jeff in Tallahassee
