[TheForge] Wire question

Phlip,
I have tried rebar wire and light-guage stainless and I find that at
welding heat they kinda disappear, and the billet kinda does that
overstuffed hamburger thing. I have better luck mig welding the billet
together. Even if the weld doesn't really "work" it holds it together
nice.
I've also heard of billets being welded up in a metal box filled with
kerosene with small vent holes for an inert environment. Sounds scary
to me, never tried it, but apparently it works every time.
Some thoughts is all.
