My builder friends swear by the Panasonic, of all things.
That and the Bosch...
I got a Makita cordless 12v drill and flashlight set for my birthday about
six years ago. The light only worked for a few months and the drill chuck
went out recently...batteries were getting pretty weak, too.
Also a 1/2" Makita pistol drill (or "drill motor" as they call it around
here) that looked like it had been left in a bucket of drywall mud after
being run over by a truck. I paid a couple bux for it at a yard sale and
it's still running hard daily seven years later. Really an all time great
tool. The Milwaukee version is just as good.
Go figure.
