Kevin,
Brownell sells a spray on coating that works really well. You spray it on,
let dry, and then bake in the oven. Kind of like parkerising. They offer
both flat and glossy, I know they have black and I think that they have OD
green.
My son has used it on some survival knives and on some gun parts instead of
blueing. It's an almost indistructible finish.

Subject: [TheForge] epoxy coatings
Has anyone had any experience with powder epoxy coatings on knives or
other tools? I've been looking for a method to coat small knives using
either powder epoxy or a Teflon based coating medium. Most of the
information I have found on the matter has been rather vague, so I'd
welcome any suggestions or opinions.
Thanks - Kevin
