	The conventional wisdom used to be (still is?) that it isn't really 
volume that causes damage, but high-attack waveforms at high volumes. 
I'm not an expert in this, but loud sustained noises make me feel as if 
they're doing the job on my ears.  Gouging torches make one of the most 
ear-splitting sounds I've ever heard, and angle grinders aren't far 
behind.  I cannot imagine that those sounds do not cause damage to the 
ears.  Anyone know about this?
