I dont use ear protection when just at the anvil...only with the power  
hammer. Maybe that should change. Do most of youse use them all the time
when  
hammering?

We should! I saw a home repair show where they brought in a sound expert and
was measuring sound in the shop. The hammer beat the circler saw by 2 to 1
