That sucks. Hand injurys are painful and difficult to recover from.
If you don't like the opinion I have a great one Near Detroit. I realize
that is a long way to go, But this guy is one of the best.

I cut 2 fingers off of my right hand about 15 years ago. Not just cut parts
were crushed, nerves and joints literally exploded. After the surgery, I
thought he was just too far to go for the follow up. He sent me to a big
time hand surgon in Detroit. The Doc looked at the origional xrays and write
up and said "I have no idea how he put it back together. You are lucky to
have the fingers at all." Needless to say I decided it wasn't too far.
Most of the function is still there. The end of the index finger does not
completly straighten by it'self and there is diminished feeling in the tip
of one side of it but everything else is good. Good strength. Feeling in
most of the 2 fingers.

He residented at the Townly clinic where they invented many proceedures like
plastic hip and knee replacement.
A real caring guy. It's funny. he winced every time I yelped when he was
taking the stiches out. Oh and the anastesealisist did not want to knock me
out. I was arguing with him and the doc said "Knock him out"

He has taken care of all my family, friends and gymnastics students since.
