There's been some really good suggestions so rather than suggesting a
product how about the parameters that seemed to work best for me.
Make products that will fit in a pocket or clip on, etc. for under $10. Make
products that will fit in a purse, fanny pack, etc. for under $20.
Warm from the fire sells best.
Being able to keep a patter going while your making items is good. Having
someone handy to close sles while you work is also a good idea.
Another thing I learned about demos is; people like seeing big hot iron. I
spent several days making a set of "teapot handle" door pulls from 3/4" sq.
When I wanted to get some attention I'd bring one up to a nice yellow heat
and draw it from the fire. People could feel the radiated heat 40-50' away
and it drew them like a magnet. I'd do a heat's worth of work on the door
pull, then start on one of the demo items.
