Hi,
Would you mind describing the look of this patina/finish?  I use 
Birchwood casey Presto Black to blacken/darken steel.  I have found that 
I get a brown finish at times, mottled green blue at times, black at 
times.  I usually like the finish but it is impossible to call exactly 
what I'm going to get at any given time.  Is plum brown a cold process?
