There was some technology conference last year where they had (among
many others) both a Segway and a Roomba (the little self directed vacuum
cleaner robot). The highlight of the show was when a woman was riding
full tilt on the Segway across the room and a Roomba took it into its
head to cross her path. The Segway ran right over the Roomba without a
quiver. The Roomba made some beeps and then kept right on going.
