I'm not seeing the "require" muscle control part of it. You might need a
couple three straps depending on the control or lack of it below the waist,
but here goes:
The knee is on an surface (board) inclined from the ground under his butt
up and in front of him. This would place his entire lower leg from say
ankle to knee on a surface. Perhaps mold the surface to his legs a bit
(indents for each leg) or a strap to stabilize, or both.
The knee bends to have the person sitting on a surface above his ankles.
Depending on how close that upper board is the lower one you might have
another strap across the thighs, but if not you can certainly have one at
the waist/hip area.
With or without straps I don't think the lower legs are likely to slide
down or up off the lower board. And the upper legs are going to want to
slide downward, but with the knees resting on the lower board they aren't
going anywhere.
If the person has any control of his hips (i.e. to control his balance
while sitting) he should be able to get a bit closer to the anvil.
My biggest concern is for lower leg circulation. Resting on the knees
without any feedback for the feet tingling due to constricting the blood
flow, etc. could be problematic. My concern is born out of my lack of
knowledge. If anyone can tell me whether this is a real issue or not it
would be appreciated.
