Old Bud Vaugn, (RIP) told me that when he worked in a navy metal shop
and had a similar problem,.....well, he had his official work wrapped up
ahead of everyone else most days ....so he worked on fabbing up a
perfect copy of the old box in 1/4" plate. When he put it up, all
painted in official colors, it looked just like the old one for about a
month. He went outside one morning.....paint on the box a little
chipped, skid marks on the road leading to a fair ding in a power
pole.....and a cracked bat in 2 very seperate pieces. No problems after
that, he said.............Pete F
