Hey Walt -
You should take a look at my web site. On the gallery page is a mailbox
i made a few years ago. 3/16 plate steel. and the kids in the neighborhood
haven't hurt it yet. The snowplows haven't even hurt it since I put it on a
tripod. The weight of the snow used to push in the old one, but now it is
strong enough to withstand it, and just moves with the force of the snow,
then falls back in place. I could take measurements if you need, but I just
made it close to what cheap one I had.
