Well, Phlip, I discovered something about this. It's ok for me to tell
this story because it's facts and my opinion or perception, clearly
delineated. If anyone having heard the story says, hey, I heard this
story and if it's true you really suck, that's ok too...people in this
country have a right to have and voice opinions about whatever they se
or hear. It's different if a person who heard a story represented it as
certainly true or firsthand, or told it to other people to damage this
woman's reputation...that's slander, I think (I'm no lawyer, either).
But it's not slander to talk to the person in question and make it
clear where the info came from and that the opinion is just that. I
don't think it would get me in trouble (thanks for the concern) because
I have just told a story as accurately as I can. It happened.
