What they said is that he WAS a parson, and therefore the name change.
I don't like it. I like Jack Russell just fine.

That world of dog breeding seems to make as much sense as the
so-called "art world". Bunch of pissy people getting all warlike over
splits in someone's pubic hairs. Sheesh.

Jack pretty much owned me, lock, stock, and barrel. In the end, he
cost me almost $40K and I'd have gone a hundred times that further into
ruin for his sake, would it have made a difference.
I had another one, Emma, but that alcoholic witch stole her. Let me
not get started on that topic.

Sounds pretty typical. Some of the smartest dogs I've ever seen,
though my friend's dog, Blue, was a creature of truly phenomenal
intelligence and character, but then he was half coyote. Incredible
blue eyes.
Now all we have left is Teddy, our attack poodle, weighing in at a
staggering 5 pounds. Our silky terrier, Oogie, was appropriated by Sam
Terry, a prominent Arizona glass and metal artist. She taught herself
blacksmithing. Her work is very impressive. I wish she had a site I
could point you to.
