I think that Parson was the guy who formalized the breed ( if it is one).
There seem to be 2 big factions in the Jack Russel world and they 
adamantly refuse to talk to each other.
Parsons is one and they won't admit to the other.
 One side is all for show and the other side says, never mind what they 
look like, how do they hunt?
We have 2, or they have us...they are infamous for training their owners.
Our dinky one , Chula, slips into the shop and  patrols for mice,rats 
and cats in the piles. She'll claw and bark endlessly till I move things 
she can't get under.
She no longer hangs out around the anvil and chases sparks..........PF
