Well, Jerry I bet your retirement service is provide by "Hewitt" -- because
that is the way their system is for Alcoa. I didn't trust or like these
folks so as soon as I retired I rolled all of my retirement savings out of
their plan and into a Vanguard IRA.
By the way some plans allow you to do this when you reach age 60 even if not
retired.

Good luck on getting them to change or improve anything. About the most you
can hope for is that if there is a problem then maybe you will see a class
action. The great feeling is even if you do not take part in their on line
system your SS number and account information is already there on their
computer system for someone to hack into. This problem will not go away
until we see the law changed so providers are responsible for any problem.
