The turkish hammers are copies of the German made Kuhn air hammers, but
at half to two thirds the price.
The germans have had turkish "guest workers" in Germany for almost 40
years now, and many have gone home to Turkey and set up factories
making copies of German tools and products.
There are currently two Turkish made hammers available in the USA-

Tom Clark sells the Say-Mak- $8795. for a 110lb self contained.

under "blacksmith tools"

and Brian Russell sells the Sahinler.

Both of these guys are very accomplished blacksmiths, and use the
hammers themselves.
I have heard great things about the sales and service from both- I know
Tom will actually deliver and setup, and run you thru how the hammer
works.

The only bad thing I have ever heard about these hammers is that since
they are Kuhn copies, they are a fabricated steel body, rather than a
solid cast body like the chinese hammers, which are copies of the
chambersburg.
Some people think they can detect a difference.
But many smiths much better than I am love these turkish hammers- Jymm
Hoffman, of pennsylvania, for example.
